ESC offers a complete listing of programs for business etiquette seminars, social etiquette, manners, and dining skills for children, teens, and adults. Classes are available to individuals, families, businesses and corporations, small groups, wedding parties, public schools, private schools, home schools, clubs, churches- anyone interested in brushing on up their manners.

Programs for Children, Youth, and Adults:

Having good manners and being able to properly present oneself is essential in today’s increasingly competitive society.  When a child, teen young adult or adult feels comfortable in this area, they are better able to get along with others, communicate, and set a leadership example at home, in school, social situations and in the workplace.

​

Etiquette Classes:

  • Manners and Social Graces- Dining and More : 6- 16 year olds; 3-5 day program 

    • The first 3 sessions of this class are held in the home of Mrs. Bowles in Fork Union, VA. The graduation 5 course dinner is held at Glenmore Country Club in Keswick, VA. 

    • This is a fun, interactive class where children enjoy learning valuable skills they will use for a lifetime. Food is served each day.

    • Social Skills taught during these classes include:

      • Proper Introductions, Eye Contact, Firm Handshake, Positive Body Language, Five Uses of the Napkin, Table Manners, What to do with Unwanted Food, Cutting Food, Resting and Closeout Position of Silverware, American Style (Zig Zag), and Continental Style Dining, Proper Table Conversation, Tech-Etiquette, The Importance of Saying and Writing Thank You, and more.

Upcoming Sessions:

 

  • Mastering the Art of Dining Tutorial Dinner :  Teens to adult; 2-3 hour sessions

    • Five Uses of the Napkin, Table Manners, What to do with Unwanted Food, Cutting Food, Resting and Closeout Position of Silverware, American Style (Zig Zag), and Continental Style Dining, as well as Proper Table Conversation​​

    • September : TBD. 5:00pm - 7:00pm  -  Glenmore Country Club

 

  • Private Lessons: 2-4 hour sessions

    • Customized based upon your needs.​
